Meet the Team: The Bone Hider
dogsHappy is a visiting dog, camping out while his person recuperates from surgery. He likes to hide chews. If he can get them outside without my noticing, that's perfect, because then he has the whole yard at his disposal. In the house, he's a bit limited. There simply aren't many places for a 70# dog to hide a bone, that two other 70# dogs, let alone a 9-pound tiny dog, can't find. He appears not to recognize that Abby usually sleeps on that cushion. She likes chews, too, and she will certainly be able to sniff it out before tomorrow...
#LoveIsLove WIP
LIL LoveIsLoveSeptember 19, 2016 Need to write a different post about packing for a motorcycle trip overnight; doubled my space when John said I could take a backpack and bungee it to the sissy bar. Regardless, I was going to carry my knitting. Wound off enough black to knit two rounds; hoped to make it into the next hearts round. I had no real plans to make the shawl; thought I would be knitting something else. However, I could afford to put $5 into the fund raiser. Then I followed the discussion as the pattern took shape. I tried knitting several things, and nothing stuck. Donna Druchunas assembled several kits and suggested yarns; I found myself shopping. However, I don't like varigated yarn, much, and I don't really like rainbows...
Homeless Animal Day
dogsWhere I live, dogs happen. Four of our current seven were homeless at one point in their lives. Suzy wandered into our lives when she was about six months old. She cowered outside of the fence, wanting to be with our dogs. She was wearing a belt around her neck. She was terrified of people, but she is completely dog-friendly. She has been spayed and has her shots. She still won't let you touch her, but she will come close enough to take a cookie out of our hand. Wiley found his forever home through the county Animal Control...
Assistance Dog Week
In honor of Assistance Dog Week, I offer you my glowing see-in-the-dark dogs. Sometimes I tell people it happens because we live near the nuclear power plant.
