Silver Brocade Roses

$ 15.00

These fabric roses were made from a short length of silver brocade fabric that came my way through the Dorcas Thrift Shop in Cary, NC. I don't usually use metallic fabrics in arrangements because the metallics can compete with other flowers; as a stand-alone bouquet, these are pretty.

Each flower is built on a wire stem. The leaves are olive green fabric.

The arrangement is roughly 6" in each direction. Flowers can be rearranged or removed. The glue is waterproof but this arrangement is intended for indoor use only; the fabrics are not treated for outdoor use and will fade in direct sunlight.

The two brocade roses in this bouquet are made from the same fabric used to make the silver brocade roses in the very much larger Silver Hydrangeas arrangement.

The arrangement will ship in a large carton packed with egg crate foam. It will need fluffing and adjusting when it arrives; the stems will bend and can be straightened.

Forever Flowers from KarenTiedeStudio are fabric flowers, individually handmade from upcycled upholstery remnants and fabrics leftover from abandoned sewing projects. Fabrics are not purchased new at retail, although some may be collected from "last yard" bins at fabric stores. Many fabrics are acquired when lifelong quilters and sewists donate or sell their stash.
