Plaid Roses in a Brass Container

$ 145.00

Plaid Roses was created from a remnant of plaid peach, cream, and pale green upholstery silk, filled out with silk and satin roses made from fabric swatches, and sparklers made from upholstery braid scraps. This arrangement is built in a solid brass container with rings at the long ends.

The brass container has been polished and wrapped for protection against tarnish.

Each fabric flower is built on a wire stem. Handmade paper leaves complete the arrangement.

The arrangement is roughly 14" in the long axis, and 9" in the short. The glue is waterproof but this arrangement is intended for indoor use only; the fabrics are not treated for outdoor use.

This arrangement is one-of-three in this colorway.It has more cream and a few pink flowers and none of the yellow-pink plaid roses.

The arrangement will ship in a large carton packed with egg crate foam. It will need fluffing and adjusting when it arrives; the stems will bend and can be straightened.

Forever Flowers from KarenTiedeStudio are fabric flowers, individually handmade from upcycled upholstery remnants and fabrics leftover from abandoned sewing projects. Fabrics are not purchased new at retail, although some may be collected from "last yard" bins at fabric stores. Many fabrics are acquired when lifelong quilters and sewists donate or sell their stash.
